Spooky Halloween

I got a little, and I mean little bit of crafting time today. So I coloured in some Close to my Heart halloween images and made a cute little Halloween card. I used my prismacolour pencils and blender pen to colour in the images, nice and spooky! I was going to add in some stickles glitter, but I'll have to do that later.

The chipboard is from the dollar store, oh ya. The patterned paper is some that I had from last year, can't remember the brand but I just love it. Some of the sheets have glitter and there is even one sheet of bats that has foam on it, love it!! I used pop dots on the fence to make it pop.
Thank you to everyones well wishes for Jonathan, he is doing much better today. Now I just have to get him back on schedule, lol.
Today's other fun activity was giving Madison her back to school haircut. She opted for me to do it so that she could stay up late and play a little longer instead of going to the hairdresser tomorrow. I don't know why she wanted to do that but thankfully it worked out okay and we won't have to go to the hairdresser to get it fixed :-) I cut a good 3 to 4 inches off of it, looks much better and definately more manageable.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Only 2 more days until school starts, yah me!!

Blog Candy - Coming Soon

Sorry I have nothing new to share with you today. Today was another one of those days, after a very long night with Jonathan, I was up and running around. I had previous plans to hang out with my friend Lisa, which I did, but didn't get much done other than stamping out some of her stamps :-) After that it was running around and cleaning...my husband is coming home at "oh my god" in the morning (4am) after being on a business trip in Texas for the past week. And of course I've been a little lacking on the house cleaning, so with a little help (lots of help) I was able to get the place spic and span. During the massive cleaning spree my wonderful Dad was putting up two florescent lights in my craft room, Yah Me!! Now that I can see everything (including the dirt) it's time for my craft room to get a little clean out. That will be my next job when Madison heads out to school next week.

Well hopefully tomorrow I'll get a chance to do a little creative work, while the kids are hanging out with Daddy (he owes me!).

Happy Stamping!
Sarah

Oh and I almost forgot - I'm getting really close to 250 hits which means blog candy time. I'll get it all together this weekend and hopefully post on monday if I hit the marker. Keep your eyes open!

What a Day!!

Well today was a crazy day. My poor little baby had his first fever today, aaah. He was a pretty good patient but this evening he was a little upset. The poor guy is getting all stuffed up and phlemy. Well I finally got him to sleep in the swing. What a sweety.
Well the whole day wasn't a total right off. I did make it out to a local stamp store before Jonathans fever appeared and got some awesome new stamps. They started carrying a new brand "Impression Obsession", I just love them. Take a look at these...

This was as far as I've gotten with colouring them, between keeping Jonathan happy, he keeps waking up. I was hoping to have a full card done, poohy.
I just had to get the cupcakes, everyone has cupcakes. And the cactus is for cgristmas cards for my husbands co-workers that are in head office in Texas. Hilarious!!

A Little Mother Daughter Crafting Time

I got these awesome Whiff of Joy images from my blogging sister Spike and just wanted to use them right away. Madison wanted to do something exciting so we decided to make christmas cards. Madison loves to have classes so I coloured one part and then handed her the markers so that she could do hers. She did an awesome job and just loves stamping!

Check it out....

Here's my card....
Here's Madison's card (remember she is only 6 years old)...Here's some close ups. She's such a talented little girl (I'm not biased)!

We coloured the image with Prismacolour markers and then highlighted with H2O's. The christmas ornaments were coloured with dark grey and then coloured over with the H2O's to give them some shine. I just love it, I even did a little highlighting with white H2O's.
Hope you enjoyed!

Welcome Bella!!

Today we dropped my husband off at Robert Q for another business trip to Dallas, TX. Well Madison had a little breakdown when she had to say goodbye to Daddy so we went for a drive and ended up at a local market (were they sell scrapbooking supplies, of course). But as we were walking around we came upon a booth with pets for sale. OMG you should have seen this cute little kitten...well you will, she came home with us. How could I say no, she reminded me of my kitten that I had as a little girl. We keep saying that our current cat Cheesecake (Madison named her when she was 3) needs a friend so meet...Bella!!

I'm a sucker for a cute face!! And great scrapbooking supplies, lol.

Thank You Everyone & Some Bella Sistahs

Well I added a counter in the middle of the week and am soooo surprised at the amount of visits to my blog. I was thinking when I added the counter that I would have blog candy when I reached my first 100 hits. To my amazement I went over 100 hits in just a couple of days. Wowee!! So I have decided that I will do blog candy as soon as I hit 250. So keep visiting and watch out for it, you won't want to miss out. And a great big thank you to everyones great comments, I really appreciate it.

Today I took a few moments to myself (I call it mommy time) and was able to finish one little card :-( I was hoping to do more but in between packing my husband up for his business trip and entertaining the kids, I wasn't able to do any more. But here it is...

Well I decided that I would make a card for each of the girls and send them out as a little welcome to the group...but of course I'm a little behind and just getting them put together now. So hopefully you'll being finding them in your mailbox soon, sisters.

Don't you just love the super cute, super tiny rhinestones on the bellas...my little secret :-)

Went Shopping, Again!

Surprise, surprise. I had been waiting to go to Scrappin' Great Deals to get some of the new Cuttlebug embossing folders and finally got a chance to go today. It was awesome, they just moved into a larger home to have more room for the business....my dream.

So of course I didn't have any time to make anything cause I was too busy building up my supplies, yeah me! And it was so hard to hold back when there is so much really cool stuff. Have you seen the new My Little Yellow Bicycle papers...ooh I love them. So much so that I bought a set and a couple of extras. The glitter on them is amazing, I took some pictures for you.

We got all the embossing folders we wanted..hehe..and all three of the new border embossing folder sets - awesome! And of course the new Penny Black stamps. (Now I say WE because I do have a partner in crime here. My mother, she is totally supports me in my creative endeavours and loves to do a little herself. And when I say support, I mean $upport, lol.) Thanks mom, I love you!!!

Now I did do a little work today, I am working on a little surprise for my Sistahs (don't tell them), it's taking me a little longer than I thought it would. Hopefully I can get them done this weekend. Here's a little sneak peak...

Bella Birthday Card

So here is the card that I made for the Splitcoast Stampers Wednesday sketch challenge. I wanted to show you the close ups and the special fold of the card. I really enjoyed this one.

The sketch suited a square card, so I made a 3.5" tri-fold. The first section was folded down to show the double sided paper. The SU Scallop in the bottom corner has been popped up and helps hold the card closed.

Here is the full view of the card.

The inside and a shot of how the front folds into eachother. And of course I added some bling with a little stickles on the icing of the cupcake!

Completed 5 Challenges with 4 Cards, Yah Me!!

I had so much fun today. The kids spent the day with their Nana so that I could finish an order, which I got done super early so I had the rest of the day to play :-) I had been making notes all week on different sketches that I wanted to do and was finally able to make them. I made 4 cards which met 5 challenges and 2 of them are being sent out to some of my new stamping friends...don't tell them. It was fun being challenged and getting my work done.

2 Sketches 4 You - Kazan's Sketch #7
I decided to make a letter size card, my first one. I had this SU image from Farm Fever that I had water coloured to test out the SU water colour pencils. The base of the card is Core-dinations cardstock, layered with HOTP pattered paper and then a layer of SU designer paper. The little chipboard label is from K&Company, I have a ton lying around :-) It's not my normal card size but I do like it. Simple and sweet.

2 Sketches 4 You - Bonus Sketch AND Trina's Blog Candy Sketch
Now this card ended up covering two different sketches. I took 2S4U's Bonus Sketch and flipped it, which just happened to make up with Trina's Blog Candy Sketch. I also had this Rachelle Anne Miller image lying around (was coloured with Prismacolour Pencils and baby oil) and thought it fit the anniversary theme.

Spoon Full of Sugar Sketch 13

This is my first time doing a Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge. Check out their site...
I decided to do a boy's birthday card for this one with some awesome chocolate brown and blue colours. I love putting brown with another colour, very classy. The image is Penny Black and the little tag is stamped with SU. This one has some super cute teeny tiny brads on the tag. It was really fun to do.

Now for my last challenge, and my favorite.

SCS190 Wednesdays Sketch Challenge
This one is super cute and I absolutely love it. I decided to do a 3.5" square tri-fold card with my new Bella stamp...Is that a cupcake on your head? I just got this paper too, can't remember where it was from...I'll post the details tomorrow.

Sorry for such a long post, but I'm sure you'll appreciate all the cards. I'll post more pic's tomorrow with all the details and recipes.

My Little Man or not...

Well today wasn't a very creative day. It was just one of those days were I couldn't get anything done and just full of frustration. But I promise tomorrow there will be bella's. I've been colouring them and not putting them together in a card, so tomorrow is the day.

Even blogger is giving me problems. I can't seem to upload this awesome picture that I took of my son today. He fell asleep in his playpen with all his toys around him. Just wish it was me sleeping, lol. Sorry I'll have to try and post it later.

A Cute Baby Card

I used my coloured Rachelle Anne Miller image for a really cute baby card today. I used an Old Olive base for the 5x5 card, layered with DCWV plaid cardstock and a layer of mulberry paper. I tied some sheer ribbon around the cardstock and the mulberry paper. I then stamped a little saying from SU's Nursery Necessities. It is sooooo cute!

I still need more sleep but I'm still creative :-)

Soooo Tired - Need Sleep

So what I really wanted to do tonight when I put lovely Jonathan to bed at 10pm was to put myself right to bed. I am so tired that I feel I'm heading for a little meltdown. I have a tremendous amount of admiration for stay at home moms with babies. It's really hard to take care of the kids and the house and have any amount of time to yourself. Especially when you're not used to it. But enough of my stressing...I could not let anyone down and not post something, since I won't be home tomorrow to post.
I thought I'd share a scrapbook page with you. This page was one that I created for a Stampin' Up! swap. It was a very simple layout with just stamps and paper, very clean and cute. I love the colours together and my cute little daughters face :-)
Recipe:
Stamps: SU Little Pieces, Eclectic Background, Letterpress Alphabets
Paper: SU Tempting Turquoise, Certainly Celery and Pink Passion
Others: SU Inks (same colours as above), SU Punches - Daisy and 1 3/8" circle.

Balloonabella and a Cute Little Mouse

Today I had my good friend Lisa ;-) over to play, while the kids where playing. And this time I actually finished something. I put together this really cute Balloonabella card using my Cuttlebug and some Black Magic paper...love this stuff! And I added some bling, lol. I need to get a new sanding block, but the black magic paper still worked pretty good. (My inspiration for this came from one of my SBS22 sisters Spike, thanks Spike!)

And then I had the opportunity to colour one of my Rachelle Anne Miller stamps, using my new coloured pencils and blending pen (bought them at Michaels the other day). I added in some glossy accents on the ears and nose of the mouse and on the hands and feet of the little bear. Hope you like it.

Recipe:
Stamps: Stamping Bella and Rachelle Anne Miller
Paper: Stampin' Up! Regal Rose and Core-dinations Black Magic paper
Others: Coloured Pensils, blending pen, Ribbon and yarn - various, ribbon slide - unknown.

What a Hoot!!

I got the instructions for this cute little Knock Knock Joke Tag Book from Nichole over at Capture the Moment. I flag the instructions and was going to make one for my daughter (she loves knock knock jokes), but that was back in July. Took me a bit but I finally got it done and I made two.

You can find the instructions here.

The blue and red one is for my daughter and the green one is for my friends son (don't tell them, it's a surprise). On Madison's book I used the new SU Scallop edge punch and centered it so that it would not detach, if you know what I mean. I used two different shapes for the knock knock jokes from the Fiskars Paper Shaper templates. Now can you believe it, the owl is from Penny Blacks Zoophabet stamp set. Isn't it cute. And I coloured them in with coloured pensils and blender pen.

The books are being held together by key chain findings, from the dollar store! and I added some charms that I had on hand.

I just love it! And Madison does too

Here's a close up view of the insides....

Recipe:
Stamps: Penny Black Zoophabet, Alphabets for title from Studio G
Paper: Bazzil Cardstock and misc patterned paper
Others: Prismacolour Pensils and blending pen
