Merry Monday and a Little Bit of Cupcakes

So alot of my fellow blogging stampers are posting "Festive Fridays" on their blogs so I decided to start "Merry Mondays". Every Monday from now until christmas I will be posting a new Christmas card for you to enjoy.

So for my first Merry Monday I have an awesome shaker card using the very cute Penny Black Hedgies. I love Hedgies, I really wish I could get my hands on some of the older SU Hedgies. This was the hardest thing I've ever done. I really wish there was an easy way to cut circles out of foam. Can you believe that I bought this glitter/bead mix a long time ago at a stamping yard sale. It worked perfectly for this card. Everything else is coloured in with Prisma pencils and baby oil (my sub for OMS - haven't been able to find it yet).

I also wanted to share with you the finished cupcake card. I finished it off by adding some glitter with my new Niji Pearlescent Watercolours (just like H20's but way cheaper - thanks Lisa :-)

The image was trimmed with my Fiskars Paper Shaper and matted with Basic Grey patterned paper, I just can't remember the name of the line it's from.

Hope you enjoyed and don't forget to scroll down to enter my Blog Candy!

Happy Stamping!

  1. Awesome hedgie card! I love it!!! Those Christmas balls are great!! I don't know though, that cupcake card is pretty sweet too! Haha! Can't wait to see what you do with the cactus! Have a great night! Take care!

  2. Both cards are great...but the Hedgies always call out to me. That card is so adorable but way too much work for me-I have to make 98 Christmas Cards. That's even before I count my Bella Sistah's now.

  3. Hi Sarah,

The Hedgies are too cute! And the cupcakes too! Yum!! I like making cupcake cards and been wanting that Obsession Impression stamp but sad to say, can't find it here where I live. :(

    Your cards are all gorgeous!

    God bless you!

  4. Sarah

Thanks for stopping by my blog - the cupcake was fairly easy to make - it was the decorating that was hard to map out. But I am glad you liked it. Love your cards...

  5. nice blog. I have enjoyed reading it this morning. Your work is SO beautiful!!

  6. Your cards are both AWESOME! Love the hedgies; beautiful job on that! And those cupcakes are marvelous & I love that paper!!!
