DT for Not2Shabby - Center Step Cards

For my DT project this week for Not2Shabby I wanted to try my hand at some center step cards. I love how they turned out.

My first card is with Bumble Bee Marci from LalaLand Crafts which unfortunately is sold out at the time and I also used some new LalaLand Crafts dies.  Lattice Doily Border and Lattice Border - they are awesome!

In both of these cards I used the Prima Something Blue paper collection and some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers which you can purchase at Jamie's shop.  Don't forget to use my coupon code "SARAH" for an additional 10% off your purchase - this code will only be available until the end of August and then Jamie will be re-introducing the free shipping codes.

My second card is with a CC Designs stamp which you can get in the Not2Shabby shop - Latte Kiki La Rue.  I stamped her out on watercolour paper and used my Tim Holtz markers - love them!!

And I just have to share how needy our cat Cheesecake was this weekend.  She would not get out of my craft space, but she is so cute!  She actually push her way right into the corner of my desk behind my tools.  And then when I had my laptop out trying to catch up on some YouTube videos then she pushed herself behind it which really wasn't that much space - crazy cat!

Cute Cards with my new Camera!!

I know it's been a while since I've posted - I feel really bad - I have still been posting You Tube video's but I've been slacking on the posts.  So sorry.

I had some exciting stuff to share today though and a new toy to play with.

I bought a new camera today!!  Yes, I finally got a Canon Rebel T3i - woohoo!!  Just look at the quality of these pictures.  No photo box, no special lights.  This is so exciting and has been so much fun to play with today.  The kids and I did some stamping and colouring at the kitchen table, Jonathan was being a goof.

The other day when we were at Michaels I was checking out the $1.50 bin and found some super cool items.  One of the items I'm sharing today is these super cute wooden shapes.  Glasses!!  There were some others, like purses, shoes and martini glasses but the glasses were the only ones I wanted.  I had something in mind right away.

We started out with this super cute LaLa Land stamp with the Koala hat.  Totally reminded me of my daughter Madison - she has a panda hat.  These ones are the perfect size for the glasses.  Below is Madison's card.  We added some tulle for her skirt and painted the glasses with nail polish so that they would be glossy.

Here's a close up of her super cute face.  Stay tuned for more - Madison forced me into going out today to buy more LaLa Land stamps.

Don't you just love the photo quality.  I am so excited and can't wait to share more.
