Today is a new challenge over at Color Me Scrappy. And such amazing colors this time around. I think we were all challenged with it. I ended up choosing some beautiful birthday paper but not on a birthday layout.
Check out my little man in one of my favorite shirts that he had for valentines day. What a cutey!
Makes sure to get your layout in by July 31st for your chance to win a gift certificate from Peace Love & Scrapbooking.

Check it out!! I spent the whole day in my craft room in the nice cold basement. It was so much fun. I finally sat down and made some of the cool butterflies from youtube out of paper flowers, I just altered some of them a little because I didn't have very many 5 petal flowers.
So to start off with I made the ones with paper flowers - love them!!
And then I decided to make some out of chenille stems, the ones with the bumps on them - so much fun. The feather kinda sticks to them because of static but I still think they look really cool.
And then lastly I decided to make some with some foam flower stickers that I found in our kid craft stash. These ones were fun and the best part is that they are adhesive backed - awesome!
Now Madison loved these ones so much that she wanted to make a tutorial video - she wants to be famous too. Maybe next time I should hit record when I tape her. We'll try it again tomorrow and post to you tube. In the meantime check out my video of all the cool butterflies I made today. HERE!

The Sky is the Limit
I have always loved this stamp and wanted to get my hands on it right away. Thanks Mom!!
Well I had some left over paper from the last challenge at Color Me Scrappy and had to use the bright and cheerful colors. I stamped the image a couple of times on each different paper and then cut the separate sections out, shading with my Spectrum markers.
I even added some clouds that I hand cut and inked up with distress ink. So cute!

Wallet Mini Album
Check out my finished project. Feels good to get something done. I had some inspiration from my favorite inspiration website "youtube" - hehe - I could spend all day sitting and watching videos on youtube and love to just sketch and figure out how to make a project. This one came from one of the channels I subscribe to creativecafegirl - she's very talented. (the link to her video is in the description of my video on youtube).
When I saw this wallet mini I really wanted to try it out and had recently got my hands on some 6x6 My Minds Eye paper pads. Honey Cake was one that my mom saw and just wasn't one of her favorites so I thought I would give it a try. As soon as you separated the papers and put some brown cardstock with it the colors popped and everything looks gorgeous!
All of the elements on the pages are only attached at the sides so that photos or mats can slide underneath.
I have some close ups but make sure you head over the youtube and check out my video HERE.
The stamp in this one was embossed with clear embossing ink and then the paper was rubbed with Distress Ink to make it pop.
This stamp was embossed with Cloisonne embossing powder, this and verdigris are my two most favorites.
You're going to have to check out the video to see the rest of the album.
Hope you enjoy it.

Color Me Scrappy - Challenge #7
This challenge was pretty sweet - get it :-)
I had fun with it, I think my colors were a little brighter but I was probably looking more at the candy than at the color swatches. I really enjoyed it though.
I chose a picture of Madison's broken foot in the "ugly" boot. She was so sad when she heard the doctor say that her foot was broken and then when she saw what she had to wear on her foot!! I told her that she could bling it up when she got home, so out came the bling. For an added touch on the layout I used the same bling that we used on her boot. I used a layout from Canadian Scrapbooker with lots of layering.
Show us what you have and you could win a $20 Gift Certificate from Peace, Love and Scrapbooking. What a great prize! We also got a fancy new blinky - so grab one for your blog and show your love!
Happy Papercrafting!
