Hi Everyone! Belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Hope everyone had great holidays. We had a little bit of sadness over the holidays, my Grand Mother passed away just before Christmas. It put a little bit of damper on things but we all still had a big family dinner on Christmas day and had great times together.
I'm slowly trying to get back to crafting and am pretty excited about doing some Valentine's project. I even had a new video ready to go but it must have got messed up while I was trying to upload it to You Tube and it is now gone :-( I will have to try and sit down and do another one.
I do however have some blurry pictures to show you of some projects that I made for my family. I didn't get a chance to do a video but I took some pictures, unfortunately it was at night before we were packing up to leave for Barrie so the lighting was not great at all. But you'll get the idea and I have a couple of trees left that I have to decorate for myself and my mom.
The wooden tree frames are something I pickup up at one of my favorite stores :-) The first one was painted with gesso and then I added in some brown glimmer mist in the middle and then some gold pearlex around the frames. The second tree was totally sprayed with green glimmer mist and then distressed a little along the edges with some distress ink. All the flowers and leaves are from I am Roses. The red ones were just sprayed with glimmer mist and distress ink on the edges and the blue ones were originally white, I colored the edges with a marker and then sprayed them with glimmer mist (one of my fav techniques). I added in white cherry blossoms that have a little bit of gold glimmer mist and then the signs are water color paper with metal letters.
I really love how they turned out and they are great family photo holders to have in your home.
Happy Paper Crafting!
Sarah
