I feel so bad because it's March and I haven't posted anything yet but between studying for my insurance course and now being sick I just can't get anything done. I have tons of stuff running through my head, tons of ideas.
Even though I'm sick I still have to go to work - booo - and last week I had a business trip to Elmira. I had some time to waste before I had to be in Kitchener for dinner so I took that opportunity to run into one of my favorite stores - The Scrapping Turtle. And to my surprise I found a new stamp that I don't have. Bossy by Mo Manning from Stamping Bella. I can't wait to ink her up and make a super awesome card.
Stay tunned I will be back :-)

I am a Robot.
I've been working on this project for quite some time and finally finished it. I got my inspiration from an older video on Paper Phenomenon. It's a canvas to hang on the wall with a mini scrapbook. Robot style for Jonathan.
I added some dimensional foam under the robot and gears and added some crystal laquer to some parts.
Oh how my baby has grown. I can't wait to get this one up on the wall. And Jonathan loves his Robot.
***Now I have to say that my counter is increasing but I'm not feeling the love :-)
Leave a comment, say Hi. When I start getting some more hits then I'll do a blog candy.
Need to know you are out there first***

Cupcake Wishes
I was playing around with my sewing machine to see what I can do. And ended up with this beautiful birthday card. Very simple but lots of detail. And I really love it!
I started out with a green cardstock base and stitched on some glitter cardstock right to the front of the card. Well that was interesting...I totally didn't think about the stitching on the inside of the card, hmmmmm. So then I had to decorate both sides of the inside of the card. I've never done that before - but I like it!
Stay tuned for some rockin' robots tomorrow. You're going to want to see them.

Class Valentines
This year for Madison's class valentines we decided to do nice and easy. We love to make them but I know that the kids are just ripping them apart and throwing them out :-)
So cinnamon hearts in a baggie it is. Madison did all her own coloring too - less work for me.

We went to Port Huron last weekend just for fun on Sunday and of course I checked out the Jo-Anne's Fabrics flyer first. They had this little sewing machine on sale and I've always wanted a machine to do some stitching on my cards. I really like the look that you get from it. I'm actually pretty excited because I think it will go well with my chipboard album I'm working on - the paper is a sewing theme. The sewing machine is basic and only does the one stitch but for mre that's probably the best idea and it doesn't take up very much room. Even handier is that you can take it with you when you go to crops - neato!
Well stay tuned for some stitched projects. I'll be sure to share.

New project...
So I decided to pull out some of my prize possessions. A Maya Road chipboard binder album (it has chipboard pages too!) Some Tim Holtz metal flower fasteners and DCWV Crafty Stack paper.
Here's a close up of the beautiful paper and Tim Holtz fasteners. I looooove them.

So, you wondering...the theme of my project?
So, you wondering...the theme of my project?
Well some of you may know that we moved almost a year ago to a new house, which I looooove (hehe). Finally I plan to scrapbook it in this super cool album.
Here's the cover but not really assembled, just the beginings. The front has a Maya Road chipboard plaque covered with paper and rub on home's with some glitter stickers for sweet. The flower will be used to make a ribbon clasps that comes from the back. You'll have to see when it is done. I will keep you posted on my progress.

Valentines Easel Card
It was kinda fun, instead of coloring with the crayon and then adding water I used my brush with a little bit of water directly onto the tip of the crayon to pull off some color. This gave me alot more control when it came to shading. The only thing I wasn't too please with was the skin tone. I really like my copic markers when doing skin.

I've done one or two easel cards before but this time I added more layers and pretty big flowers. Don't know how it would fit in an envelope but finished it looks pretty nice.
I added a little bit of bling and a Happy Valentines Day stamp to finish it off. More layers is definately one of my other resolutions for this year. Use it all and layer, layer, layer.
Here's a side view for you. Hope you enjoyed.

Love Notes
Okay so this year I vow to make whatever I want, whenever I want and use everything. Yes I said EVERYTHING!!
Are you like me that you have stash upon stash of the coolest scrapbooking supplies ever? But you just can't bring yourself to use them.
Well then ladies, this is the year. Use all those supplies that you have been hanging onto - what is it going to hurt. Wouldn't you rather see them in an awesome completed project than sitting there collecting dust in the package.
Check out this - a love note collector. You can hang it on the door to you bedroom or on your cubicle at work :o) Make one for the kids, have fun. I'm using my awesome pure white prima flowers like there is no tomorrow and guess what...I still have more left.
I used a giant coaster for the base and covered with some really awesome little yellow bicycle valentines paper. Yes it is double sided but you know what...that one side looks great! Check out the detail that I "hot glued" on. Yup I used my glue gun :o) I even made those little ribbon flowers from some really cool ribbon that I got at Michaels eons ago, you know the ones that come on the wooden spools that I bought with a big glass bowl to display them in. Well they are not going to be displayed anymore - they are going to be used.
Lastly I have a view from the top for you. You can see how deep I left it to put all your favorite valentines into. Even if you don't get valentines anymore it is a super cute holder that can be used for so many things. You don't even have to do it for valentines day, you can do one to hold postage or pencils.
I hope you enjoyed my ranting :o) All I can say is prepare to be amazed. There will be project upon project and I will not be holding out. I'm going to use it all!
Happy Stamping!

!!!Happy New Year!!!
We took some time to do some decluttering and finish unpacking our boxes and guess what? We can park in our garage, wooohooo! I have to tell you that now that we are into our Ontario winter and getting blasted with more snow than we have had in years, parking in the garage is all worth it.
I've also had some bouts of artistic block. Yes, too many products, too little time and don't know what to do. I have some unfinished products lying around and just don't feel like finishing them. I'm keeping up with my blog stalking though. A shout out to my two most fav's right now - Following the Paper Trail and Paper Phenomenon. I'm a closet PITA babe - you'll have to check it out. Both of these talented ladies have live classes on Ustream, if you haven't seen them you need to check it out - it is fun, and if you can't be there live (like me) then they record them and you can watch them later.
Today I just did a real quicky card design that I found while blog stalking.
http://sendingyoualittlesmile.blogspot.com/2011/02/for-my-tweetheart-spring-fold-card.html
I had to make it right away. Hope you like it. Mariska has a link on her page to splitcoast with the instructions.
Hope you like it and hopefully I will be able to find the time to keep sharing.

Happy September
I'm so happy that summer is finally here. Madison will be going back to school, hanging out with all her friends, bringing home all the grade 4 drama. Yes, grade 4. Time flies by so fast. Even Jonathan wants to go to school but unlike his big sister he has to wait until he's 4 years old. We'll just have to pretend that he's going to Nana School". Hopefully he doesn't cry too much on the first day of school when he has to go back to the car.
This is my newest mini album. Includes 8 pages and 8 journal/photo cards. They were so much fun to make so I did a whole bunch of different ones to sell. (sorry pictures aren't great from the blackberry :-)
Anyways, have you ever searched and searched for the perfect letters to go with your project but just can't find the right color. Well here's a quick fix for you...
I had some light peach glitter letters that just didn't seem to go with much so I took my sponge dauber and some Only Orange Stampin' Up! ink. Just place your letters on some scrap plastic from a sticker sheet and sponge the color over the sticker. The color just soaks right in and it made my baby peach letters into a saucy orange. Perfect for that project.

Shopping Goodies
When the cat is away the mouse will play.
Well how true that is. My wonderful husband and daughter have gone to Winnipeg for a visit and Jonathan and I have been left home (without the digital camera). Tonight we went to the local scrapbook store - Scrappin' Great Deals. I love that place. They have a twelve hour sale going on right now.
20 sheets of paper for $4.99
This was a 6x6 paper pad that I just had to have - glitter and bling on half the sheets.

Fooling Around and Having Fun
Well I've always really liked the easel cards but have never made one. So of course I had to do it. I chose to use one of my Craftin' Kimmie stamps from Scrappin Great Deals. I thought she was super sassy and had to buy her the day that they were released.
Madison wanted to help me take the picture with my laptop camera and of course had to get in there :-)

Here's a better shot - hopefully you can see some of the detail. I added a second layer with the froggie and use some glossy accents to make him a little slimy. Eeeewww!

Overall happy with my first easel card but need to do more detail.
My next job is to clean up the mess in my craft room after I let Madison and her little friend do some scrappin while I was at work - messy!!

Envelope Explosion Album
Well now we're back home and I'm too tired to craft so I thought I'd share. I'm sharing this super cute explosion album made from envelopes. Yes, envelopes. All of the envelopes are from the dollar store except for the smaller white ones on the inside layer.
Suprisingly this only took two nights and yes it does need a little more embellishing and stamping on the tags, but I'm pretty proud of what I've finished so far.
I have to admit that I've done alot of blog stalking over the last couple of months and have gotten myself addicted to You Tube and Ustream. Very interesting stuff. This album idea is from one of my favorites Following the Paper Trail. Definately a very interesting site.
And my newest passion of the week is making my own hand made embelishments - the other day was flowers.
Hope you enjoyed my album. Feels good to be back to the blogging world.

I'm Back and This Time to Stay!!
Well it's been six months and I truly am sorry but alot has happend.
Firstly we finally moved, it took quite some time to pack up all my scrapping goodies and quite a while to unpack and get reorganized.
Okay so do you remember my old scrapbook room in an unfinished room in the finished basement....

Yes crowded but I really liked the pegboard wall.
So here's the new scrapbook room....yes it is in the unfinished basement - larger windows so it's sunny down there but I have more space to spread out - hehe - and there's a kids corner with a futon and the tv for them to stay occupied while I scrapbook.

So now that I have my new room all up and organized, and I've had some friends over to get my creativity going. I've been doing more scrapbooking which is good because now that Jonathan is 2 - yes 2! - I have finally started his baby album. Yah me!
I promise to keep my scrapping and card making going and sharing with you and maybe in the near future I will be able to get some kits up sale and I'm toying with the idea of doing some video classes - yes scary but I promise you will not see my face :-) hands only.
So, stay tuned and I promise you won't regret it!! I'll be back tonight with some scrappy stuff.

Need your Vote - Blog Candy
I'm making Valentine Treats for Madison's class and of course have to get them done soon. So here's what's up....I've made a bag topper for convesation hearts or a open sided treat box (forgot to take a picture of the side view) with cinnamon hearts. Which one do you like better?
Leave your vote in a comment and link to your blog for your chance to win some valentines blog candy. I'll be away on the weekend of Valentines Day so I will draw the winner on Monday Feb 15th - Family Day! Here are your choices....
Cinnamon Hearts...
Conversation Hearts...
Pocket Full of Hearts
On the front I used a Unity pocket stamp that I got a while ago and just haven't used yet. I cut out the individual hearts from the patterned paper and popped them up from the heart.
On the inside is just a ton of hearts to show that "my love is overflowing" which I stamped out in Stampin' Up! alphabet stamps. I even added a little scallop label to give a spot for the card to be signed. Not a ton of stamping but pretty good use of patterned paper, I think!!
Here's a shot of the inside, I used Stampin' Up! cardstock in Not Quite Navy and Regal Rose. I think I made the pop-up a little big but it still looks pretty good. My first Valentines card but more to come...

Sweet Treats

I've been hanging onto these tins for a little while, my husband received them in a care package with goodies and of course emptied them right away. So I decided to make some Valentine's Sweet Treat holders. Maybe teacher's gifts?
Sorry the pictures are blurry, I really wanted to post tonight so I used my blackberry instead of the camera. I know better for next time :-)

I used a different part of the patterned paper for each of the tins. It had strips of different patterns on it, love it!

I also wanted to share some exciting news, I have access to a bind it all!! I say access as it is my mom's but it's living at my house for right now, yippee! I made these cute little mini books. Now I just have to get my hands on sime wires.

Here's my cutie boy. He refused to go in his crib tonight and kept pointing over saying "bed" so I thought I'd give it a try. He got up twice, once to close the door all the way, apparently he likes to be alone and then the second time was to pull the string on his music maker. What a sweety!! He pretty much fell asleep within 10 minutes. The only other time he slept in the big bed was when I would carry him in when he was already asleep. He's growing too fast :-(

Happy Stamping!
